T: Since we have known there are some differences between British English and American English, now can you look at the picture on page 8 and tell us what is happening. ①Where is the man? --- He is in a bathroom. ②What can he see in the bathroom? --- He can see a bathtub, washbasin, and some towels. ③What is the man thinking about? --- He is thinking about a toilet. 4. Now let’s read the dialogue in pairs and try to find out : ①What is Joe’s nationality? And how about Nancy? ②What does Nancy think Joe is looking for? ③What causes their misunderstanding?
