(一) 教学目标：
1.知识目标:
掌握字词 artist  /crimes  /criminal /put  /in newspaper  /on television   /each /the same… /describe /differently /in the end /real 等。
2.能力目标：
（1）培养学生阅读理解的能力，重视并正确理解短文中的第三人称代词及指示代词。如he /she /it  /they  /him  /her  /his  /this  /that等在文中的含义。
（2）培养学生运用所学知识描述人物长相并进行书面表达的能力。
3.情感目标：教育学生努力学生，发挥特长，做社会有用之才。
（二）教学重难点：
重点:   (1).New words and phrases in 2b.
(2). How to describe a person..
难点： 部分词的词形转化及用法，art/ artist   crime/ criminal   differently/different   real/really  another/other
(三) 教学方法: 以多媒体为媒介培养学生自主探究与合作学习。

Step 1. Warm up .
Before class . Play a flash, The Family .
This is mama, kind and dear. This is papa, standing near. This is brother, see how tall. This is sister, not so tall. This is baby, sweet and small…
(设计目的：1.课前活跃气氛，创造英语学习氛围，吸引学生注意力，避免了个别学生上了课都仍在走神的现象，使其尽快进入英语学习的状态。2.通过动画片导入新课)

Teacher: Different students describe the same person differently. Sometimes they are so opposite. Let’s learn An Interesting job about Joe Brown.  2b. Page 53.
1. Revision. complete 2a. 
   Complete the chart with words of the opposite meaning.

Step 2. Reading.
1.Skimming (速读)
Read and answer which picture shows the real criminal.
（速读的目的是用浏览全文的方法了解文章的大意和主题思想，并对文章的结构有个总的概念。）
2.Scanning（查读）
First read the article and write what the words in bold refer to . Page 53, 2c.

Yes . Because many people don’t always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently.

First read by themselves and find the important words and phrases, then students show them one by one.  Finally teacher summaries.

（平时的写作训练都是放在课下，多数学生都是机械的抄袭3a，效果极差，放在课程上，合上课本练习能督促学生学3a ，实效性强）
