Step1 Lead-in
We use computers a lot in our daily lives.
Have you ever used computers to search for travel information?What websites have you visited?Look,this is a website about traveling in Nanjing. You can see some pictures of tourist attractions in Nanjing.Can you tell me their names in English?
To show some pictures and let Ss to say these places: Dr Sun Yat-sen’s Mausolem, Xuanwu Lake, Confucius Temple.
T: Have you ever been there?
How did you get there?
What did you see and what could you do there?
Step2  Presentation
1. Show a text to show new words:I’d like to be your tour guide. Nanjing is a big city in China.. Xinjiekou is one of the most important trade centres in Nanjing.. There are many big shopping malls and international banks there. There are several places of interest for you to visit in Nanjing. Look at this picture. It’s Xuanwu Lake. It’s in the center of Nanjing. With a big lake and several large green lawns, it’s a good place to relax after a hard day’s work..When you visit Nanjing,don’t miss Dr Sun Yat-sen’s Mausolem. It’s a world-famous attraction.. Have you ever heard of Confucius Temple? Every year, thousands of people gather there to enjoy the lanterns. Now pick a place and start your tour.

Now I’ll take you to a new city, but in a different way. Open your books and turn to page36. Read the article. Then tell me what city Daniel is visiting and how he’s visiting the city.
Read the article quickly and answer these questions.
What is the name of the website?
 How many places of interest are mentioned?
What are they?
Look at the chart in part B2 on page38. Can you help help Millie find out what people can see in New York? Read the article again and write down the answers.
Read the sentences in Part B3. Write a T if a sentence is ture or an F if it’s false.
Let’s read after the tape. Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation.
Kitty also wants to learn something about he online tour. She’s asking Daniel about it. Complete their conversation in Part B4.
