（一）Warming-up
1) Free talk
用What day is it today? What lessons do you have in the morning? What subject do you like ? How are you? What’s the matter with you ? 等日常交际用语进行交谈。
（二）Presentation
1.开门见山导入本单元词汇，八个昆虫类单词，教学单词insect及其复数形式。
2.出示B部分教学挂图，引导学生观察并说出图上的八种昆虫（用中文），其中较难书写的教师可板书示范，如：蜻蜓、萤火虫、蚱蜢等。
3.进一步引导学生观察彩图卡片，更熟练地辨识八种昆虫，还可尝试让学生从颜色、体型、特性等方面描述这些昆虫，如：
（1）蚂蚁    It is small. It is black. It is very busy every day.
（2）蝴蝶    It can fly. It is beautiful. It likes flowers.
（3）蜻蜓    It is green. It can fly very high. It is beautiful, too.
（4）萤火虫  It is yellow. It can fly. It fly at night.
（5）蚱蜢    It is green. It jumps high.
（6）蜜蜂    It is yellow. It can fly. It is busy. It likes flowers.
4.教师进行描述，学生猜测是哪种昆虫。（教师可描述得更详细，也为E部分铺垫）顺势教学八个新单词，其中an ant, a butterfly, a bee要求拼写。补充的描述可为：
（1）firefly   It can glow at night.
（2）grasshopper  It lives in grass.
5.看图文卡学习单词后，可让学生跟录音读单词、齐读、自由读等，还可当堂默写单词以求及时巩固。

Ask the students to read and recite the words in Part B by themselves and then do a dictation of them to check if they have been well mastered and see who does a better job in learning these knowledge.
Ask the students to read the dialogues in Part C together and then ask them to do a pair work to practice them to check if they have well master the knowledge.
Present the pictures of Part C on the blackboard and ask the students to try to write down the dialogues by themselves and then check the answers together to see if they can written the dialogues correctly.
Explain the meaning of the sentences in Part D and then ask the students to inspect the pictures in this part and try to practice the dialogues with their deskmates and then ask pairs to present their dialogues and see if they can be well finished.
Ask the students to try to write down the sentences in Part D:
1) A: How does she spend her weekends?  B: She often watches TV. Sometimes she reads English books.
2) A: How does she spend her weekends?   B: She often catches insects. Sometimes she watches cartoons.
3) A: How does he spend his weekends?    B: He often plays cards. Sometimes he listens to music.
4) A: How does he spend his weekends?     B: He often draws pictures. Sometimes he washes clothes.
7、Listen and repeat
（1）学生通过自读单词bee, see, sleep, tree，感受字母组合ee在这些单词中的发音。
（2）归纳ee字母组合发音为/ i: /并鼓励学生思考相关单词，如：meet, weekend.
（3）用三步曲练习拼读单词的音标，再次感受元音字母组合的发音。
（4）熟读句子，理解句子的含义。
8、Preview of the dialogues in Part A
1) Play the tape of the dialogues in Part A and ask the students to listen to the tape carefully and try to read the dialogues together after the tape and pay attention to the words’ pronunciation and intonation.
2) Ask the students to read the whole dialogue by themselves and single out the new words to consult the dictation after class.
9、Homework
1) Write the sentences in Part D down and try to recite them.

2、Revision
1) Ask the students to read and review the learnt parts in this unit and then do a dictation of the learnt words and sentences and check to see if they have been well mastered.
2) Ask the students to read and practice the former part of the dialogue in Part A in groups and ask them to try to act out the part of dialogue and then ask groups to come to the front to try to present their dialogues and see who does a better job.
3、The latter part of the dialogue in Part A
1) Present the pictures of the latter part of the dialogues in Part A on the blackboard and ask the students to inspect them and try to say something about them.
2) Play the tape of this part of the dialogues and ask the students to listen to the tape carefully and try to get something about it.
3) Ask the students to read the dialogues after the tape sentence by sentence and try to read them correctly.
4) Ask individual students to read the sentences and try to translate them into Chinese and the teacher give certain explanations of the difficult points to help the students to master the dialogues better.
5) Ask them to read the whole dialogues together and then do a group work to practice reading and then ask groups to come to the front to present their dialogues and see which group does a better job to read the whole dialogues better.

4) 完整地听录音一到两遍，了解短文的大概意思，然后逐句加以理解，最后在理解的基础上加强朗读训练，直至非常熟练。
