二、教学目标
1.通过“寻找物品”运用动词be的过去式was, were。
2.能听、说、读、写单词、词组:excited, exciting, just now,a moment ago
3.能听、说、读单词、词组:a camera, film, ground, Sports Day, running race。
4.能听、说、读句子:Where's my ...? It's in/on the ... It isn't there now. I was there a moment ago. Where are the ...? They're in/on ... They aren't there now. They were there a moment ago.
5.能听、说、读日常交际用语:It is Sports Day. Can I have them, please? Can you pick them up for me, please?

3. What date is it? (出示一个日历牌)

4. Let's sing a song 'Happy birthday'.
5. Excuse me, when's your birthday?
Would you like to watch cartoons?
Would you like a VCD of Chinese cartoons?
What would you like as your birthday present?
6. Ask each other. Practise.
(二)Presentation
1. 引导学生问教师,When's your birthday?

2. I'd like a watch.
Last year my father gave me a watch as my birthday present.
I bring it here. I put it on the desk.
3. (作惊讶状,表明东西不在了。)Where is my watch?
It isn't there now. It was there a moment ago.

师生演示游戏,先让一名学生记住两样东西的位置(一个是照相机,另一些是三卷胶卷,一个放在课桌上,另一放在课桌里),然后转过身去,不要看课桌。
教师问:Where is the camera?
Where are the films?
学生回答:It's in the desk.
They are on the desk.
教师让学生回过头看:It isn't there now.
It was there a moment ago.
They aren't there now.
They were there just now.
教师再次问照相机和胶卷在哪儿?练习下面的对话。
A:Where is the camera? A: Where are the films?
B:It's in the desk. B: They are on the desk.
A:It isn't there now. A:They aren't there now.
B:It was there a moment ago. B: They were there just now.
(模仿上面两组对话学生自己找出两种物品进行对话练习。)
17. 师生多示范2组,学生之间Practise in pairs.(物品可以是铅笔,橡皮,引导拿一个单数物品,拿一个复数物品。)
(三)Learn the text
1. 出示课文图片,Ask: Who are they?
2. Ask: Today is Sport Day. ( Teach"Sport Day".)

3.播放一遍课文内容,整体感知,回答问题。

(六)教学评析
学生学习英语的最终目的就是要能运用所学的英语交流,表达自己想说的话。因此在课的一开始,我先和学生问候,然后询问当天的日期,星期几,天气情况等导入,并由此相学生提问What day was it yesterday? What date?was it yesterday?等句型,让学生对一般过去时有了初步的感知,以吸引学生的注意力。
在新授词汇过程中,我注意把句型与词汇相结合,并强调了在句中名词单复数应与动词相一致,在句中be要用are,在过去时中要用were,在句中be要用is,在过去时中要用was,但在进一步巩固词汇与句型时,我发现学生在操练过程中没有很好的注意Where is / are …?的区别用法,究其原因,还是讲授时没有让学生真正理解,没有让他们自己去体会,自己去造句并比较。另外对于Key words的给予比较到位可惜句式的提供不够导致学生看着表格复述课文稍有难度。
