Ⅰ.Teaching Materials: Primary English For English (Book 8)
Ⅱ. Teaching Contents:  Unit 7
Ⅲ. Teaching Aims and Demands:
Understand simple questions in class.
Describe objects in complete sentences.
Write simple expositions.
     Participate in simple role-plays.
Ⅳ. Main and difficult points:
The new words:  a lamp , a vase, stairs, a sofa, a telephone, a DVD player, a radio, upstairs.
The sentence patterns :  There will be lamps.
                     Will there be stairs?
                     Yes, there will. /No, there won’t.
                     Will the robot clean the lamps?
                     Yes, it will. /No, it won’t.
Sounds  :      telephone  alphabet ,elephant , graph 
Ⅴ. Teaching Aids:
 Words cards, picture cards, objects.
 CAI and a tape-recorder.
Ⅵ. Periods : 5 - 6 

Period 1 (Part A)
1.Warm-up:
*Greetings.
* Daily talk .
 Revision and presentation.
*Bring in toy versions or pictures of a lamp, a vase, a radio, a
DVD player, a telephone and a sofa.
*Ask the pupils How do you help at home? Revise the actions, clean a room, make the bed, set the table, sweep the floor, wash the dishes, water the plants. Write a list of the objects to be found in a home on the board.
3.Learn New Materials:
*Teach the new vocabulary using the toy versions or pictures and add the words to the list on the board.
* Make sentences using In my home there is/there are…
*Ensure that the pupils know to use There is with singular items, and There are with plural items, e. g. There are DVDs.
*Ask the pupils to repeat after the cassette.
4. Practice:
*Point to the robot in the picture. Introduce the professor, saying This is the man who made the robot. He is a professor. He is very clever. He makes new things.
*Read the conversation between Koko, Pat and the professor. Ask the pupils to repeat the conversation after you.
*Tell the pupils to work in groups of three and to role-play the conversation between Koko, Pat and the professor according to the objects they see.
5. Sum –up
* Sum up what have learnt this class.
  Read the sentences on the blackboard.
* Ask the pupils to listen to the tape Part A then repeat .

Period 2 (Part B1)
1. Warm-up:
* Greetings.
* Daily talk .
2. Revision and presentation.
  Ask the pupils to talk about future living.  
3. Learn New Materials:
* Prepare a picture of a house with objects the pupils know
covered by sticky-edged paper or open-the-flaps windows.
* Draw a robot and say. Do you help at home a lot?
* Write the names of the objects on the board. Put the heading: In the house of the future. Using the list, check that the pupils know how to make questions using the future tense and the verb to be, i.e. Will there be…?
4. Practice:
* Point to what Pat and Koko can see in the house of the future.
* Read the conversation in pictures 1 and 2 and ask the pupils to read it after you.
* Check that the pupils know the names of the objects in the small close-up pictures in pictures 3-7 are in Pat’s thought bubbles.
* Ask the pupils to work in pairs to act Pat and Koko talking about the objects in pictures 3-7.
 5. Sum –up
* Sum up what have learnt this class.
6. Homework:
Make sentences.

Writing :

 Period 3 (PartB2-3 )
1.Warm-up:
*Greeting.
*Daily talk .
2.Revision and presentation.
*Ask the pupils to talk something about the future living.
3.Learn New Materials:
Bring in the toy robot again.
*Tell the pupils In the future there will be a robot in every house. Ask the pupils Would you like a robot in your house?
*Ask the pupils to recall the phrases for helping at home. How them how to make these phrases into future tense questions, e.g. sweep the floor--- Will the robot sweep the floor? Tell them to ask you about what the robot will do in the house of the house.
4. Practice:
* Read the conversation and point out the professor’s list. Explain that the ticks mean the robot will do those things and the crosses mean the robot will not do those things.
* Ask the pupils to listen to the conversation once more and repeat it.
(B3)
* Remind the pupils that a tick means the robot will do those things, a cross means that the robot won’t do those things.
* Ask the pupils to write a tick or cross in the box of each picture.
  5. Sum–up
     Sum up the lessons what we have learnt.
6. Home work:

Period 4 ( Part C )
1.Warm-up:
* Greeting.

* Talk about the future livings. 
3.Learn New Materials:
* Check that the pupils know what a hotel is. Ask them to tell you the names of hotels they see in the area near them. \
* Play the cassette for pupils and ask them to say the sentences after the cassette.
*Ask the pupils Do you want to stay in Space Hotel? What will you do there?
4. Practice:
* Read the pupils to read the passage again. Show them where to where to write their short answers.
* Check the answers with the pupils. 
5. Sum –up
* Ask the pupils listen to the tape Part C and repeat .
6. Home work:
Workbook.























Period 5 ( Part E – G )
1. Warm-up:
*Greeting.
* Daily talk.
2. Revision :
3. Learn New Materials:
* Listen to tape of sounds and teach them .
    ph    telephone   alphabet    elephant    graph   
* Read the rhyme.
* Play the tape for the pupils to listen to the rhyme.
* Ask the pupils to circle the same letters with the same sound .
4. Practice:
* Play and ask the pupils to listen to the sound and the words.
* Say the words slowly and clearly. 
* Point to the pictures and check that the pupils can say the words without your model. 
5.Think:

6. Sum –up
* Read the sounds and the rhyme .

Period 6 ( Part G WB )
1. Warm-up:
*Greeting.
* Daily talk .
2. Revision :
  Have a dictation .
Play the cassette again and encourage the pupils to join in with the words.
Tell the pupils to write the letter of the picture next to the verse that it tells about.
Do workbook
* Listen and write .
* Check up.
* Oral practice .
  Ask and answer according to the listening materials .
4. Homework :                               
  Workbook.

本单元结束后,我感觉设计的几个趣味操练、扩展活动、探究活动深受学生喜爱,学生们兴趣很浓,积极参与,达到了我的教学目标。孩子们在轻松愉快的气氛中,充分发挥了自己的想象力和创造力。
